Karnataka PGCET

Karnataka Examinations Authority conducts the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test for admission to first year / first semester MBA/MCA/M.E./M.Tech/M.BA (Infrastructure Management) courses in the State of Karnataka. It primarily tests a comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in Engineering & Technology.

Eligibility Criteria

For Full Time MCA:

  1. A candidate who has passed prescribed qualifying examination or equivalent examination with Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Science or Computer Applications or Business Mathematics Business Statistics as one of the optional subject and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects of all the years / semesters of the Degree Examination.
  2. 45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates.

Karnataka PGCET Exam Pattern

The examination generally consists of objective questions that have multiple choices. Sometimes applicants will be expected to brief their answer. The examinations consists of four sections namely general intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge, Quantitative analysis and test of Proficiency in English language. The total number of questions is not certain but preparing based upon previous exam will make the candidates to pass with flying colors and get admitted in the best institutes in Karnataka through merit.

  • Part 1: 50 questions of 1 mark each
  • Part 2: 25 questions of 2 marks each

Karnataka PGCET Application Form

In order to apply for this exam, the applicant must be a graduate or final year student in their under graduation. They have completed or about to complete the relevant course i.e. if you are applying for MCA, then you must be from BCA or its allied field… They must at least have studied in any Karnataka school for minimum 7 years in order to write this exam. The applicants can apply for more than one course, but they fill the form accordingly with utmost care. The applications can be downloaded from the website from Karnataka Exam Authority in the month of June. The last date to submit the online application will be during the month of July. The examinations will be held in important districts of Karnataka in the last week of July and the results will be published in the first week of August.
